Wednesday, March 16th  we celebrated St. Patricks day in the Rainbow Class. It was great to return to some normality with great anticipation of parades and a “normal” St Patrick’s Day. In the Rainbow Room all the children were excited to wear their green colours and share their pride for Ireland.

We learned about the history of St. Patrick and why the shamrock was such an important part of the day.

As part of this day, we tried to remember all the different cultures that come together to celebrate Irish Heritage across the world and we explored different traditions for the day across the world. We enjoyed making green milkshakes and had some St Patrick’s Day sensory play together.
