Today 24th October 2017 5th and 6th class left school st 7.30am and went on a trip to see Dublin Castle. We arrived at 11 and Brona gave us a guided tour. It was brilliant. We saw old ruins of the castle which was built in 1204. We saw the chapel, the room where the president gets inaurgurated, (St Patrick’s Hall) the Throne room and the James Connolly room along with much more.
Brona was an excellent guide. We really enjoyed our visit.
Next we went to Croke Park and Aaron O Reilly was our tour guide. He showed us loads. We saw the dressing rooms, the players lounge, corporate boxes, the musuem and the field itself. Our girls who were runners up in the division 1 west final yesterday were presented with their medals on the steps of Croke Park where trophies are presented each year.
We had a brilliant day.
