Extra Curricular Activities

Pupils at Killoughteen National School are encouraged to take part in sport. Games such as hurling, gaelic football, soccer, camogie, girls football and basketball are played. Each year pupils in the senior classes participate in the 9 a-side hurling and football leagues. In this way students are given an opportunity to develop their talents and personalities. Games also help to develop their team work and leadership skills.

Each year pupils from our school take part in table quizzes organised by Limerick Community Games, Hazelwood College and our local Credit Union.

Tin Whistle: Tradtime

A visiting teacher teaches the tin-whistle to all pupils from infants-6th class for 30 minutes each week.
