Some of our school choir and musicians had a busy time of the Christmas period. We had a number of pupils from our school choir sing some Christmas Carols in West End Service Station on Saturday December 21st. The pupils under the guidance of Miss Faye Mulqueen sounded amazing. It was a great day where the children were very well seen after by Sharon, Eddie, Bernie and all staff. The children got plenty hot chocolate, hot foot, met Santa, and had their faces painted by a talented face painter called Eileen Grant.
On St. Stephen’s Day, we had two groups of pupils who went out on the Wren on behalf of the school. Again these pupils collected money towards the school hall fundraiser. Sincere thanks to Catherine Brosnan for organising this and taking both groups of children on the day. (morning group and evening group) A very enjoyable day was had by all pupils. Thank you to everyone who generously supported our pupils. In total €1,557.89 was collected between both days.
We have now surpassed €25,000 in our school hall fundraiser. Our plans have now gone to the DES for final approval for our school GP Hall along with our 2 ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) Classes before we go to planning. We will have more news regarding our upcoming school build in the near future.
