This afternoon we had great excitement when the Liam McCarthy cup was brought to our school by Noel Hartigan. We relived some of the moments of the year by watching a clip of Limericks hurling moments during the year.
We all got our class photographs with this precious cup and hope to see it return again next year! Noel passed on some messages from the players who apologised that they were unable to attend today. He told the boys and girls to listen to their coaches, to enjoy the game and to work hard at practicing the sport.
Finally, all children will be awarded a night off homework in the near future.
Our infant classes and Rainbow Class will get another chance to see the cup next week.
