Update regarding buiding projects in Killoughteen NS.
Over the summer holidays, the roof old school building was replaced, and it was fully insulated. Sincere thanks to Paddy O’ Sullivan for his work with this project. Please see the before and after pictures below.
We have now received approval to proceed to tender for one extra mainstream classroom with en-suite toilets, a 2 classrom SEN base and 1 GP Hall.
Along with the aforementioned, the will be a new staff carparking/drop off facility which will be situated in the school field across the road from the school. With this, there will be a pedestrian crossing installed to enable the safe passage of our pupils from the drop off area to the school.
It is hoped that works will begin on site just prior to the Christmas holidays and will be completed at some stage in the Springtime of 2023.
This is fantastic news for our school community. We look forward to having these facilities completed for our pupils.
