On Friday, 24th of February, Killoughteen NS celebrated MultiCultural Day. This day was to celebrate and learn about all the different cultures within our school community.  We hoped to deepen our knowledge and therefore further foster respect and open-mindedness for other cultures. Celebrating our differences, as well as our common interests, helps unite and educate us.

Pupils with a multicultural background took part in a show and tell in their classes, speaking about their culture and home language. Children then displayed their show and tell items for the whole school, answering questions and engaging with other classes.

We are lucky to have many nationalities represented in our school. We have pupils here from Brazil, India, Moldova, Poland and Romania. Thanks to Miss Ambrose for organising this day.

It was enjoyed by all staff and pupils.
