Active Week (June 7th – 10th) in Killoughteen NS was a great week full of fun and activity.  We walked from school to Barnagh Gardens on Tuesday (1st to 6th class) whilst our infant classes had lots of activities at school.

On Wednesday we went on school tours to the Old Rectory, UL and to Ballyhass. These were very enjoyable trips.

On Thursday we went to Woodfield soccer pitches for our Sports Day. Sincere thanks to all involved here for facilitating us for our Sports day. Thanks to Thomas St. John for opening up early for us, giving us to use the sports equipment and making sure we didn’t need for anything.

We had loads of fun with athletics, soccer, tug-of-war blindfolded, orienteering, Rock paper scissors hula hoop game, Olympic Handball, tag-rugby, tug-of-war and so much more. It must be said that the staff and children of Killoughteen NS are very competitive on the sports field!

On Friday we had more games at school and 5th and 6th class pupils cycled on the Greenway to Newcastle West and back to school again.

We hope all our pupils had a great week. Have a look at some photographs that we have taken this week.
