Today we had our school workshop as part of the LEAF programme. Leaf stands for Learning about Forests. Niamh Ní Dhúill showed us lots of different trees and brought in some frog spawn for us to look at. We learned about the lifecycle of the frog! We went across to the field and found lots of different trees and flowers that we have. We planted some trees at the bottom of the field, Birch, Alder, Oak and a Scots Pine. We covered the base of the trees with cardboard and some bark mulch to stop the weeds from growing up around the trees. We had great fun and learnt loads. Thanks for everything Niamh!!

We can’t wait to go to Curraghchase in May.
