As part of Catholic Schools week we welcomed our pupils Grandparents to the school on Wednesday. Grandparents visited their grandchildren’s classrooms before heading to the new school hall for some tea, treats and a chat.
Grandparents play a special role in our lives. They are very important teachers who show us how to love, how to be caring and how to share. On Grandparent’s Day, we are reminded to care for, help and remember them. When we return the love our grandparents show us, we are putting ourselves at their service. This week we celebrate the gift that grandparents are to their grandchildren. We pray for them; we give thanks for them and we ask God’s blessing on them.
