This year our girls played division 1 Camogie. The teams in our group were Ballingarry NS, Adare Girls and Mahoonagh.
The Blitz took place in Mick Neville Park in Rathkeale on May the 14th. Prior to this Mr Sean Gleeson trained us at school. The training sessions were very good and we thank Sean for his help. Thanks also to Mary Smith and Máiréad Horgan who helped with training, first aid, and much more.
On May the 14th we began with a great start and won convincingly against Mahoonagh NS. Afterwards, we faced a very strong Ballingarry team, and luckily it ended in a draw.
However, we lost out to a very strong team, Adare Girls in the end. We will hopefully be able to go further in the competition next year. A lot of us will be on the school team again.
