There was great excitement today when the ten of the senior camogie county champions came to visit us with Noel O’ Connor.
Yvonne Lee, Grace Lee, , Roisin Ambrose, Kate Ambrose, Emma Falahee, Aoife Corbet, Karen O’ Leary along with past pupils, Ella Whelan, Ciara Murphy and Gerri Mai O’ Kelly were the stars of the panel that came to see us. At the weekend they made history being the first team from Newcastle West to win the Senior County title. They played a brilliant game against Ahane and were thrilled with the victory.
Noel O’ Connor spoke highly about all the girls and of the many reasons that they were great role models for the girls coming on after them. Hopefully, we will welcome these players back again in the coming years with many more successes.
